How does it work?

Interdisciplinary diagnosis
Joint assessment between Allura's orthodontist and maxillofacial surgeon, with digital cephalometry and 3D models.

Pre-surgical orthodontic preparation
Dental alignment using braces or aligners to prepare the dentition for surgery. This period may last 12-18 months.

Orthognathic surgery
Surgical procedure under general anesthesia to reposition the maxillae and/or mandible according to the established plan.

Post-operative orthodontics and follow-up
Completion of orthodontic treatment after surgery to achieve the planned optimal occlusion.

How long does it take?
The complete treatment can last between 18 and 36 months, including the pre- and post-surgical orthodontic phases. The surgery itself requires 1-2 days hospitalization and initial recovery of 10-14 days in Medellín.
